VENTURA, California — November 5, 2026. The city’s Council District 6 election has a six-candidate field. In the last accessible election-night results, Karba Eckley leads with 862 votes (27.52%), while Noe Vega has 769 (24.55%) and Danny Carrillo 657 (20.98%). Eckley’s reported lead over Vega is 93 votes. With a plurality split among six contenders, the ranking is particularly worth monitoring in later counts, although no outcome can be forecast from this snapshot alone.
All six District 6 candidates
The Ventura County election results published by NBC Los Angeles also list James Loughrie 357 (11.40%), Steven Almcrantz 291 (9.29%) and Kevin Daly 196 (6.26%). These figures describe the District 6 electorate, not every city resident. Reported percentages refer to counted valid candidate votes in this contest rather than registered voters.
Other council districts have separate ballots
In District 1, Liz Campos has 1,615 votes to Crawford Coates’s 813; in District 4, Jeannette Sanchez-Palacios has 1,826 against Scott Shoemake’s 961, Richard Rosin’s 593 and Kyle Clark’s 139. District 5 has Vernon Alstot on 3,037 and Bill McReynolds on 1,383. These elections have different residential boundaries, so their counts cannot be added and interpreted as a single at-large council election.
Local issues at stake
Council representatives participate in budgets, transportation, streets, public facilities, housing and planning decisions. A candidate’s reported vote total does not indicate how every resident feels about any specific policy. Ventura County is also counting school and special-district races, which use separate ballots and may reach beyond city boundaries.
Canvass and updates
Additional valid mail, provisional and conditional-registration ballots may be incorporated after Election Day. The source does not establish how many District 6 ballots remain, so a 93-vote margin is not a mathematically settled result. Check the Ventura County Registrar’s official results for the next batch. This article preserves an unofficial November 4 source snapshot.
